In the middle of the morning at the Home of Translation there’s always plenty of hustle and bustle in the kitchen as the smell of coffee wafts through the office.
Our translators love to sit down to a translation project with a good espresso or mug of coffee to hand, but some recent projects made a couple of us stop and think about what kind of effect coffee might actually have on us.
After doing a bit of research (see links at the bottom of the page), we found out some interesting facts: contrary to claims that coffee is bad for us or makes us addicted, it does in fact contain plenty of nutrients that are full of health benefits, good news for all the coffee-loving translators!
On top of all that, it is a known fact that the caffeine in coffee is a stimulant, making us feel more alert and also generating an increase in the adrenaline levels in our blood. (It might be this feel-good factor which makes coffee an effective anti-depressant.)
So, we’ll just carry right on drinking coffee here at the Home of Translation, because happy, motivated translators mean quality translations and happy, satisfied customers!
