ISO standards

The Home of Translation is proud to announce that we recently became one of the first companies to achieve certification in ISO 17100:2015 Translation services, a new ISO norm published in 2015 to meet demands of the market. It is the first ISO standard to specifically address translation services. At the same time, we also became certified in ISO 9001:2015 Quality management systems (a revised version of the ISO 9001 standard published in September 2015).

ISO 17100: what is it?

The ISO 17100 covers the essential processes for providing a translations service. It establishes and defines the translator, their technical resource and quality of service. Its aim is to outline the service a client will receive within a recognised set of procedures that are carried out to best practice.

What does it mean for you?

  • Increases customer confidence and gives reassurance that we follow a recognised specialist standard while under taking translation requirements.
  • Provides assurance that we employ appropriately qualified staff – both interpreters and translators are qualified to undertake the task in a professional and effective manner to the latest industry standards.

ISO 9001: what is it?

A Quality Management System is a systematic and process driven approach to managing the business. It is designed to support the company in ensuring that we meet and exceed the needs of our customers, and deliver a consistent level of quality and satisfaction.

What does it mean for you?

  • Proof that we provide consistent, reliable and fit for purpose solutions
  • Improve our customer / supplier relationship by responding proactively to customer feedback
  • Ensure that issues are identified and resolved promptly.
