Language, words… it’s an art in its own right!
A few months ago we were at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles for VivaTechnology, for three fascinating days on the theme of innovation and technology. On 15 and 16 January 2020, the Home of Translation will be back, but this time to take part in Museum Connections, a major international event for the equipment and enhancement of museums and cultural sites.
A major event first organised more than 25 years ago, Museum Connections supports the economic growth of museums and cultural sites by fostering connections between over 4,200 decision-makers from the sector and 400 international exhibitors specialised in communication, marketing, scenography, signage, audiovisual technology, cultural mediation, equipment, virtual and augmented reality, point of sale management, collections management, archives, merchandising etc.
A linguistic partner of museums and cultural centres for over 20 years, the Home of Translation opens the doors of museums and cultural centres to an international audience. We communicate your unique message in every language, ensuring harmony and consistency throughout (signs, labels, audio guides, press packs, website etc.) We translate legal, administrative and financial documents (cooperation agreements, financial reports, loan contracts etc..) and give voice to your discourses on an international level. Because your artistic projects are unique, our specialist language services cover a plethora of fields including translation, proofreading, interpreting, subtitling, voiceovers, desktop publishing, copywriting and consultancy. Culture knows no bounds thanks to our services.
The program at Museum Connections also includes 20 hours of conferences for cultural professionals who aim to see their institution evolve with the world around them. Experts from internationally renowned museums (Grand Palais-RNM, National Gallery of London, Centre Pompidou, National Museum of Contemporary Art of Athens) will be discussing inspiring issues such as: “The Place of Human Interactions in VR Visits”, “Turn your Museum Green, from Your Offices to Your Shop” and “Immersive Storytelling – How it is shaking up the exhibition industry”. Our interpreters will have the pleasure of providing simultaneous interpreting during fascinating discussions thanks to a unique partnership between Museum Connections and the Home of Translation.
With us, language is no longer a barrier but an opportunity. Come and drop by at Stand C4 – Hall 1 and meet the translators who will accompany your centre on the international cultural scene.
